Tooth Replacement

Tooth loss affects your smile, your confidence, and your ability to eat. Tooth loss can impact your ability to chew and consume a proper diet. Over time, tooth loss also causes bone loss, which can affect the shape of your face.

Doctors Birdwell and Guffey have many methods available to replace your missing teeth. You and the doctor will work closely together to choose the best restoration for your particular circumstance.

Please see below for more information about the techniques we employ to restore your smile and function and don’t forget to request an appointment.

Partials

A partial is a removable appliance which is used to replace multiple missing teeth when an individual still has several healthy teeth present in an arch. They can be used as a long term solution or as a provisional measure as part of a larger treatment plan. Partials can also be creatively combined with implants and crowns to solve complex situations.

Bridges

A bridge is simply multiple crowns which are connected. Often, a bridge is used to replace a missing tooth between two sound teeth. A false tooth is connected to crowns on either side of the missing tooth. Bridges can be a simple, quick and esthetic way to replace missing teeth in the front or back of the mouth.
